ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING

Habitat Survey Evaluation & Plans
Upland & Wetland Communities:

  • Inventory and evaluate ecological signs of protected plant and tree species.
  • Identify space requirements for preserving the integrity
    of natural plant communities.
  • Develop specifications for controlling invasive species and enhancing the diversity and function of native plant associations.
  • Devise plant restoration and mitigation plans inclusive of site preparation, plant selection, planting and establishment practices and construction cost estimates.
  • Appraisal of tree and landscape values.
  • Local government tree management plan designs and specifications.
  • Site planning for significant wildlife habitat protection.
  • Scouting for listed species within set aside habitats.
  • Diagnostic and remedial services for vegetative communities.
  • Grand tree measurement and condition evaluations.
  • Coordinate wetland/upland tree removal, bracing and restorative cuts.
  • Permitting and supervision of all pruning operations including mangroves by ISA Certified Arborist to ensure compliance with Best Management Practices and regulatory requirements.

Conventional Landscapes: Provide ecology based landscape specifications and administer contracts.

  • Procure or contract grow quality plant material to satisfy Florida Grades and Standards.
  • Formulate landscape maintenance plans to invigorate natural landscape features while conserving water with tissue and soil sampling for diagnostics.
  • Devise tree protection strategies including space requirements, aeration and drainage controls.
  • Prescribe remedial care for reversing decline symptoms in trees associated with environmental disturbance, disease causing organisms and site development.
  • Site planning for sustainable landscapes.
  • Production of silviculture Best Management Practices (BMPs) and contract growing/monitoring.
  • Coordinate and monitor root pruning procedures, organic and biological soil amendments and ANSI A300 pruning techniques, as well as tree aging, growth rates, soundness and chemical penetration.
  • Plan designs and permitting are signed and sealed by Meryman Environmental Certified Arborists, Urban Foresters and/or Horticulturists.
